MDA has contracted with SECA to prepare a study to assess and develop the standards and requirements for sustainable construction (Green Buildings) in the central district of Al-Medina. The Study aims to raise the level of environmental and natural resources conservation, and to conserve energy and water consumption in buildings in the study area, whose implementation will contribute to a more sustainable environment. Though these requirements follow the foundations and standards of green buildings and global sustainability, they have to be in accordance with all considerations of the local environment and socially with regard to pilgrims and Umrah, and in consensus with the reality and nature of construction and construction in the central region.
