The Bupa Headquarters in Riyadh was initially targeted for LEED ID+C certification during its construction phase. SECA conducted a thorough assessment of all LEED documentation and project plans and identified several critical gaps that would impact successful certification under ID+C. Based on this evaluation, we advised Bupa to complete the building first and pursue LEED O+M: Interiors certification after occupancy, ensuring the building’s operational performance is accurately reflected. This approach allowed Bupa HQ to capture energy, water, and indoor environmental quality effectively, resulting in a smoother certification process and stronger sustainability outcomes.
